I never really had the opportunity to unleash my inner chef until I met my husband. It's hilarious - after a whole week of him cooking, I had no idea he was vegetarian ! I guess vegetable medley was his secret code for "no meat, please."
One day while we were out shopping , I casually suggested we grab some chicken for dinner. He was totally cool with the idea, as long as I was the one wearing the chefs hat and wielding the spatula. Thats when the light bulb went off : I had unwittingly signed up for a meat free life-style.
So, I made the bold decision to never cook meat in our house again. And here I am years later, still happily meatless and happily married. Who knew Id become a full time vegetarian chef? At this rate, I might just start giving cooking classes on how to make the best veggie dishes - aprons and all !

Thank you for Joining me
As a child growing up in Zimbabwe (Africa) it was very uncommon for men to cook unless they were standing outside preparing the meat around a fire while the women were all inside preparing the salads and all the other bits that were going to be served. I always found myself going from outside to inside and wanting to know what each group of people were doing and then watching it all merge into one big feast was always a big event for me.
