This is a very easy recipe which requires no baking. It can be made in a short space of time as well which is always handy.

This vegan dessert is super tasty and can be altered in so many ways. I have served it with plant based cream and fruit. I have also served it with custard and icing sugar sprinkled over the top. Either way will work.
Ingredients
As I always say the golden rule is to have all your ingredients and utensils ready so there is no delay. To make this dessert you will need :
The Base
300g ground almonds
½ cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp melted coconut oil
The Centre
200g dairy free chocolate (I use 90 percent dark chocolate)
1 400g tin coconut milk
Directions
Really quick to put together so here goes.
Take the 400g can of coconut milk and remove the water from the inside.
Break up the chocolate into smallish pieces
Add the coconut cream to a pot on medium heat.
When the cream is hot then turn the heat off.
Add the chocolate bits and stir together until its all melted. then set aside and start with the base.
Mix the ground almonds, cocoa powder, coconut oil and maple syrup together in a large bowl.
Once its mixed well put in into a tin tray and spread out the mixture along the sides and the bottom, patting it to make it firm.
Once the chocolate has cooled off pour that over the base and put it in the fridge to set. That usually only takes a few hours.
I usually remove the tart from the fridge about an hour before I serve it and then I decorate it and serve it.
Enjoy !!
