There’s honestly nothing better than the smell of toasted nuts wafting through the house! Taking raw nuts from "meh" to amazing is so easy and way cheaper than buying the fancy pre-packaged ones.

Whether you're hosting a party or just need a healthy afternoon pick-me-up, these homemade roasted nuts are guaranteed to be the star of the show. They come out super crunchy and way more flavourful than anything you'd find at the store. Warning: they’re totally addictive, so you might want to roast an extra batch!
Ingredients
500g mixed nuts
2 tbsp ground or peanut oil
2 tsp honey
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chad masala
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp lime or lemon juice
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180 c
Weigh your nuts out and set to one side. I use cashews, hazelnuts, peacans, peanuts and almonds. To vary this I sometimes put in a handful of raisins at the very end.
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. This will form a dark liquid. Make sure that the honey is soft as well.
Add the nuts to the sauce and mix well.
Lay them on a tray evenly spaced out and put them in the oven for about five minutes. Take them out and toss them about and pop them back in for another few minutes. Its important to keep an eye on them at this point because they can overcook or burn very quickly.
Take them the oven and remove them from the tray and allow them to cool. This is when I will sometimes add raisins to make a great variation.
My favourite line......enjoy !!
