This is a very simple and easy recipe adapted from the Devils Eggs.

Im always looking for creative way to do things with food, especially when its a long weekend . I saw a version of this online some time ago and decided to do my own thing with it.


Ingredients


  • Eggs

  • Mayonaise

  • Smoked Paprika

  • Seasoning

  • Carrot

Directions


Very quick and easy recipe to have lots of fun with. Start by


  1. Boiling the eggs for 11 minutes so that they are hard.

  2. I like to bring the water to the boil and then lower the eggs in one at a time with a large spoon.

  3. Once they have boiled remove them from the heat and let them sit in a pan of cold water for a few minutes.

  4. While they are cooling down cut the feet from the carrot and place half a toothpick in each foot ready two slide the egg over when ready.

  5. I used a serrated knife to cut around the tops of the eggs to form that shape.

  6. Scoop out the centre of the egg very carefully.

  7. Once you have all the egg centre together start mixing in the mayonnaise until it is firm then add any spices. I used half a teaspoon of smoked paprika and garlic

  8. Mix well and put into a piping bag

  9. Pipe into the eggs and close the top. Add a peppercorn for each eye and if you want to add a nose you could do that with a small bit of the carrot.


You can pipe a few extra bits of the egg mixture over the plate as I have done in the image , together with some green sand leaves of your choice. I just think it adds to the overall look.
